This year we asked Sandlappers who attended the Fall Mountain Run to write a short note to the Roadster which described their weekend or some memorable part thereof. Here are the responses we received:

| It was a beautiful, sunny, breezy day with clouds so fluffy they seemed to
be made of cotton balls decorating the electric blue sky, when we arrived at Big Lynn
Lodge atop the eastern ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, still green with splashes of the
red of the sourwood trees, to see a smattering of BMWs and their delightful
occupants, as harbingers of the jolly, amusing company that was soon to assemble for an
entertaining weekend of good company, good food and good times. Betty Hoadley;
